My name is Carin Meyer and I'm running for the Northville School Board. As a parent of two Northville students, an educator, and a community volunteer, I understand the role of family and community engagement and its importance in supporting student success.
I am deeply committed to our children and believe they deserve the highest-quality education. I have the experience necessary to contribute meaningfully to the school board. I am a certified educator and served in other important community board positions, including Michigan PTA Board of Directors Federal Legislative Chair and BOD for League of Women Voters for NW Wayne County.
Today’s times not only present unprecedented challenges for Northville’s school district but also offer new opportunities. I want to be part of the team that faces these new challenges and makes use of these new opportunities. I want to help strengthen the bridge to success for all Northville students, ensuring the district's legacy of academic and extracurricular excellence continues.
I want to be a championing voice for Northville Public Schools, reaching out to all relevant parties to make sure that our district and students are at the forefront in decision making. I also want to be a champion listener, making sure all stakeholders have a voice.
Northville Public Schools was rated #1 in the state last year. I want us to continue on that track, keeping Northville Public Schools on the leading edge well into the future.
From law enforcement resources to mental health initiatives, we need to work with all parties to make sure all of Northville's students feel seen, heard, and safe.
